Preventing Age Spots

condition_age_spotsThe good news for me is that I’m less likely to get age spots because I take preventative steps like using sunscreen when I’m in the sun. And I would never use tanning beds either. To me, they seem like some type of torture device and I’d prefer to get tan the old-fashioned way or not at all. So as long as I keep using my Murad Resurgence products to keep my skin young looking and can avoid those pesky age spots I’ll be happy.

What Causes Age Spots?

age_spotsAge spots aren’t caused by aging; they are caused by UV rays from the sun and from tanning beds. The UV light makes the cells in your skin which produce melanin (the pigment that determines your skin color) more active. When this extra melanin gets bunched together in one place, you get age spots.

The Horror of Age Spots

liver-spotsMy sister called me today in a panic because she just discovered the first age spots on the back of her hand. Our mother had those spots all over her hands as she got older and both of us know they are a sign that she isn’t a spring chicken any more. Thankfully, she’s the older one.

Seeing Improvements

I have to say that I’m very pleased so far with the results I’m seeing in the mirror. I’ve only been using the Murad Resurgence Productsistockpicture4 for a few days now, but I really do notice a difference in the way my skin looks. I can’t say it’s perfect yet but at least I have hope.

The Main Cause of Aging

All those days I spent getting a tan are coming back to haunt me! My skin seems so much drier now than when I was young. I use lots of creams and moisturizers from local stores but none of them seem to help in the long run. I wish I’d know how bad the sun was for my skin then.rig-sun
