The Horror of Age Spots
My sister called me today in a panic because she just discovered the first age spots on the back of her hand. Our mother had those spots all over her hands as she got older and both of us know they are a sign that she isn’t a spring chicken any more. Thankfully, she’s the older one.

The Pool Solution
If you are worried about the effects of chlorine on your skin, you should always have a good product available to apply to your skin after you get out of the pool and go inside. I typically use Murad Resurgence Products to keep my skin from drying out. It works well and lets me enjoy the pool.

The Pool 2
Here’s what I learned about the pool and your skin. As you know, most pools use chlorine to keep them clean and safe. But because the chlorine is designed to kill bacteria, it does the same thing on your skin while also killing a few layers of skin cells. The dead cells end up pulling water away from the healthy cells thus leaving your skin dry.

The Pool
Have you ever noticed that after you use the swimming pool your skin is always dry? Not as soon as you get out, obviously, but once you’ve let the sun dry off the pool water your skin will actually be drier. Because I love being in our pool every summer I decided to find out why this was the case.

Choosing the Best Product
Besides the humidifier, I also use Murad Resurgence products to keep my skin from getting too dry and sensitive. The products give me the results I want, and I have tried quite a few of other ones that are on the market without getting the desired results, particularly during winter.

Caring for Skin in Winter
Not only is a good skin cream your best friend during the winter but I would also invest in a humidifier for the home. You’ve got to keep moisture in the air if you don’t want your skin to be sucked dry of moisture. I’m serious! Plus, humidifiers supposedly can reduce the risks of colds but I’m not sure if that’s a science fact or an old wive’s tale.

Ending of Summer
Now that my class reunion is over and August has started I can relax and enjoy the end of summer. I like summer, although it is particularly harsh on one’s skin thanks to sunburns and all of that. But I’m dreading the winter because it always dries out my skin so badly and makes it so sensitive.

The Aftermath
Thankfully, the class reunion wasn’t as bad as I thought. In fact, some parts were pretty good. A lot of the people complimented me on my youthful skin which I, of course, credited to the use of Resurgence. Some of the other attendees even wanted to swap skin care secrets. Of course, nothing made it easier to listen to the boring stories of some of my fellow classmates.

Getting Ready
I’m getting ready to head off to “enjoy” my class reunion. Who knows what’s going to happen. All I know is that I’m not looking forward to tonight. I really wish I’d throw away that invitation instead of agreeing to go. Oh well, live and learn. Maybe it won’t be as bad as I’m thinking it will be.

Two Days Until CR-Day
Loyal readers, you probably already know what CR stands for and why I’m unhappy about the prospects. If you’ve been to your own class reunions you probably already know what I’m talking about. At the first one, everyone is comparing their success levels. At this stage though, everyone is comparing how old each other looks. What a fun evening!
